Budget
Having a budget is great for when your planning on what you would like to spend on your Makeup Artist(s)
for the big day every makeup artist charges different prices depending on area and expertise. And it will depend on Bridal Party size. You also have to factor in that a Makeup Artist will charge for Travel for the Bridal Trial and on the Wedding Day if its at your own house or a venue I would usually charge 0.40p a mile.
Average Bridal Makeup Cost from The Bride Book Website in the Uk 2024
The average cost for the brides makeup on the day is around £100.
Where as the Bridal Party will be slightly less each but will be charged for each person.
I found this Blog very helpful below:
Bridal Party size
When thinking about booking a makeup artist for not just yourself but the bridesmaids, Mother of the bride,Mother of the Groom for example. Most Makeup Artists depending on what size of bridal party they are comfortable with will need to ask another Makeup Artist to help out with that I usually would cater for The bride, Mother of the Bride and up to 3 bridesmaids by myself so 5 people altogether.
How much time is needed on the day?
You and your makeup artist will need to discuss timings for the big day so everything goes smoothly without a hitch, I usually speak about timings at the Bridal trial (Which I always recommend), And I make a timetable of when I will be doing whos makeup this also makes things easier. I would say I roughly allow 1 hour 30 minutes for members of the bridal party for more natural makeup 1 hour. 2 hours for the bride.
How long to book in advance?
I would say this is a tough one. But to make sure you have a makeup artist booked in and you have had your bridal trial booked in I would say to book at least a year in advance or 6-8 months to avoid disappointment.

Be Clear about what you are wanting
Tell your makeup artist exactly what look you are wanting to achieve If you have had a makeup trial I usually ask for you to bring/show me at least 3 examples of makeup looks you like the look of ideally not from pinterest from real models or makeup clients. If you have any skin concerns or Allergies or you dont like some colours, coverage It is very important to tell your makeup artist everything.

Please get in contact if you have any questions about my services or want to arrange your bridal trial with me and we can talk all about your plans for your big day!
